Having spent years working, eating, sleeping, talking and everything else at 100 miles per hour, we took a giant leap off the treadmill and changed our lives. We researched, searched and secured our piece of a healthy and happy future and now we'd like to share it with you.

Tucked away amidst fruit trees (apples, cherries, plums, pears....) set in plenty of open space with no immediate neighbours, it is such a delight to snooze under the dappled shade of the old walnut tree, soothed by the sound of the nearby river Auvézère, or to just sit back and enjoy the panoramic views.

Choose between our two self-contained cottages in the detached converted barn; one with an outdoor 4-seater spa tub for year-round pleasure.

Each cottage sleeps 2 persons and has its own private terrace or garden overlooking the surrounding countryside - perfect for a champagne breakfast or admiring the glorious sunset. Both cottages are open-plan, offering light and spacious accommodation. It is also possible to book both cottages as a group of 4, with or without the spa tub.

Cottages For You?

Le Roc offers you quality accommodation set in peaceful, beautiful surroundings, just 3 miles from all amenities. A slower pace of life, buckets of fresh air, and time and space to contemplate, Le Roc is not the place for those seeking brisk, noisy excitement. However, with no lack of adventure (hot air ballooning, white water activities, horse racing and more), culture, nature, fine gastronomy, French markets and sleepy villages, it is suitable for those in need of some well deserved 'me-time'.

Less than one hour from the nearest airport, we are ideally situated for that weekend away (leave the kids at Grandma's), your annual summer break, a special celebration, or that long awaited house-hunting trip.

Accommodation

Each cottage is generously equipped for 2 adults, is tastefully decorated and retains many of the original features such as oak beams, stable doors and exposed stone walls.

Kitchens/dining areas are fully equipped and include a cooker, fridge and dishwasher. Picnic-ware is also available on request.

Living areas are comfortably furnished with sofas and easychairs positioned in front of the wood-burning stove for winter evenings.

Bedrooms provide you with enough space for all those holiday outfits and a kingsize bed for plenty of good nights' sleep. Crisp white cotton bed linen and UK-style pillows add a touch of quality and comfort.

Bathrooms offer thermostatically controlled showers in large-sized cubicles, double hand-basins, heated towel rail and hairdryers. In addition to large white fluffy towels, we also provide you with cosy bathrobes. (Hot tub towels also provided where applicable).

Outside, each private garden is equipped with sun-loungers, dining furniture, parasol and bbq.

Hot Tub

The spa tub is located in the private garden of one of the cottages and is entirely at your disposal. Day or night, early or late, you are free to indulge in luxury of this water therapy facility.

The spa tub has warm and cool settings to suit your mood and the weather, and seats 4 people. It also has internal lighting to enable late night bubbles and aromatherapy to enhance the spa experience further.

Take a dip under a starlit sky, a glass of champagne under a light dusting of snow, or feed your loved one grapes fresh from the surrounding vine as you watch a summer evening sunset.

Additional Information

In addition to your private garden/patio, you will also find other outdoor areas at your disposal including a woodland garden overlooking the river, and a shady tree-seat under an apple tree in the meadow where you can admire yet more panoramic views.

Those home comforts so often difficult to find on holiday come as standard, as do complimentary finishing touches such as a generous arrival hamper and your very own herb garden. Your hamper includes 3 bottles of wine, fresh bread, other essential provisions, as well as a tempting harvest of home-grown produce (fruit, vegetables, flowers, as available depending on season).

For special occasions, you can upgrade your arrival hamper to include champagne, candles and chocolate, or whatever takes your fancy.

No need to worry about cooking or shopping on your first night - we can prepare an arrival supper ready for you to serve and eat at your convenience, or provide you with a grocery pack.
